About the artist

Cath is a visual artist creating physical work that explores line, geometric shape, texture and colour. Her inspiration comes from architecture in dense multicultural urban spaces, as well as structures of pristine natural environments. Cath's artistic intention is to evoke emotion and memory through abstraction.

About the artwork

This piece was inspired by the strength, formation and permanence of geological structures in the Canadian Rockies. "Layers of Time" is a diptych of two paintings: cold wax and oil on 12" x 12" wood panels.
