Sanga, Study of a Body to Be Inhabited

or

About the artist

Sanga combines classical and contemporary techniques, including digital painting, to explore chiaroscuro and its impact on the image. Through various media, he addresses contemporary themes, creating dialogues between tradition and contemporary, light and shadow, materiality and virtuality.

About the artwork

"Study of a body to inhabit" is inspired by Renaissance altarpieces, which served as both liturgical objects and narrative devices. This reference reflects the idea that we are entering a new era, one that brings with it profound changes in the way we live and inhabit our bodies.
The digital age has expanded our connections, enabling global exhibitions, but it also shrinks our physical space and reconfigures our beliefs. What do we believe in today? Do we inhabit multiple identities through social networks? Do we dissolve into an immense world, losing our essence?

These changes are so rapid and immense that it is difficult to fully comprehend them.
