About the artwork
A digital reimagining of The Last Supper by Plautilla Nelli, the first known female painter of the Renaissance, this piece pays tribute to her groundbreaking work. By inverting the portrayal of figures, it challenges traditional gender roles and biblical narratives, reexamining themes of guilt, sin, and redemption through a new lens. Blending Renaissance inspiration with contemporary discourse, it bridges past and present, opening questions about identity, power, and representation.
